Dr. Borislav Petrov
Dr. Borislav Petrov is a specialist in thoracic surgery in Varna with over 13 years of medical experience. His professional interests are in the field of minimally invasive surgery. Carries out examinations and operations for diseases of the mammary gland, thyroid gland, lung and pleura, mediastinum, chest and neck. Dr. Petrov does not examine children.
Education and qualifications
Graduated from Varna Medical University in 2011. He acquired his specialty Thoracic Surgery in 2019 after specialization at the University Hospital St. Marina Varna. Currently, he is a PhD student at Varna Medical University, with the topic of the dissertation: Thoracoscopy in solitary and multiple lung lesions.
Qualifications
- Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association;
- Certificate of professional qualification for highly specialized activity — Videothoracoscopic and mediastinoscopic surgery, 2023 ;
- Since 2024, he has been on the list of Republican consultants for thoracic surgery.

Biography
After graduation, Dr. Petrov worked for 3 years in Emergency Medicine. Since 2015 he is an assistant professor at Varna Medical University with active teaching activities for Bulgarian and foreign students. He participated in joint operations with leading specialists from Europe and Russia. He is currently part of the team of specialists of MC Haelan Care 4 Varna.
