Dr. Tsanko Galabov is a cardiothoracic surgeon in Sofia with over 25 years of experience across the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery. He possesses deep expertise in coronary, valvular, aortic, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery, including complex and high-risk cases, as well as professional experience gained in the UK in the field of heart and lung transplantation.
Dr. Galabov does not treat children.

He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1998 and completed his specialization in cardiothoracic surgery in 2011.

Biography
Dr. Galabov’s professional career spans leading cardiothoracic centers in Bulgaria and the UK. Since October 2025, he has been serving on a rotational basis as a lead surgeon at the Salam Hospital in Khartoum, Sudan—the only free-of-charge cardiac surgery hospital in North and Central Africa, providing treatment to over 300 million people as part of the EMERGENCY NGO humanitarian mission. He is currently also part of the specialist team at MC Polyclinic Bulgaria – Haelan Group.
