Dr. Evgeni Mekov
Dr. Evgeni Mekov is an assistant at MBALBB “Sveta Sofia”, Faculty of Medicine, Medical University — Sofia. He actively participates in Bulgarian and international scientific events. He has more than 30 scientific publications, six of which have an impact factor. He is a three-time scholarship holder of the Bulgarian Medical Union, and in 2016 he was awarded the “Best Young Pulmonologist” award of the Bulgarian Society of Lung Diseases. He is fluent in English.

Biography
Dr. Mekov's scientific interests are focused on chronic diseases of the respiratory system — chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchial asthma and breathing disorders during sleep. He actively participates in scientific and teaching activities, combining clinical practice with research work in the field of lung diseases.
