Dr. Marina Krasteva is a neurologist and pediatric neurologist in Sofia with over 10 years of medical experience. She provides modern diagnostics and treatment for diseases of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems.

Education and qualifications

She graduated with honors from the Medical University of Sofia in 2016. In 2021, she successfully defended her dissertation, earning a PhD degree. She obtained her specialty in Neurology in 2022. She is also certified in highly specialized medical activities (HSMA) – Electroencephalography (EEG). In January 2023, she began her residency in pediatric neurology at the Clinic of Pediatric Neurology within the "Prof. Ivan Mitev" Specialised Hospital for Active Treatment of Children’s Diseases, and in December 2025, she obtained her specialty in Pediatric Neurology.

Qualifications

Author of numerous publications in Bulgarian and international scientific journals;
Participant in various training programs and congresses both in Bulgaria and abroad;
Specialized training completed in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland;
Member of the Bulgarian Society of Neurology, the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), and the European Stroke Organisation (ESO).

Biography

In 2017, Dr. Krasteva began her residency in neurology at the 'Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL' University General Hospital. In 2019, she won a scholarship for a specialized fellowship in the field of cerebrovascular diseases in Bern, Switzerland. Currently, she is part of the specialist teams at Haelan Care Medical Center – Bulgaria Blvd and the First Children's Consultative Clinic.
