Dr. Presiyan Vasilev

He graduated from the Medical University of Pleven and is a board-certified specialist in Gastroenterology and Dietetics. He also holds a Master’s degree in Health Management from the Medical University of Pleven.

Qualifications

• Level I & II Upper and Lower Endoscopy: including biopsy and endoscopic polypectomy;
• Level I & II Ultrasonography: Conventional and Doppler;
• Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association;
• Member of: BSG (Bulgarian Society of Gastroenterology), BAUM (Bulgarian Association of Ultrasound in Medicine), ESGE, EASL, UEG, WCOG, and EUS;
• Participation in numerous national and international congresses, conferences, symposia, and seminars, as well as specialized training programs with relevant certifications;
• Three-time recipient of the "Contribution to Healthcare" Award at the annual "St. Ivan Rilski" Physician of the Year awards in 2016, 2022, and 2023;
• Vice Chairman of the Bulgarian Medical Association – Lovech branch.

Dr. Vasilev has practiced in the Surgery Department, the Emergency Department, and the Second Internal Medicine Ward at the 'Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov' General Hospital in Lovech. He has also worked at the 'Dr. Georgi Stranski' University General Hospital in Pleven and the 'Heart and Brain' University General Hospital in Pleven. Additionally, he worked with the Bulgarian Red Cross in Lovech. Since 2021, he has been part of the specialist team in the Internal Medicine Ward at the 'Cardiolife' General Hospital in Lovech, where he served as Head of Department from May 2022 to December 2023. Since December 2023, he has been working at the Air Medical Emergency Center (HEMS). Currently, he is also part of the specialist teams at Maraya Med Medical Center, Preventica Medical and Dental Center, and Haelan Care 2 Medical and Dental Center.
